Enabling the Stalled Checkout Automation

To start recovering stalled checkouts, you need to enable the Stalled Checkout automation in your app:

  1. Navigate to App Station and select Monetization > Growth Automations.

  2. Toggle the Stalled Checkout automation to Enabled.

Choosing the Delay

You can set a delay for when the retargeting email will be sent after a checkout is stalled. The available options are:

  • 1 hour

  • 4 hours

  • 12 hours

  • 24 hours

  • 48 hours

Choose the delay that best fits your strategy for re-engaging potential customers.

Customizing the Email Template

You can customize the email template that will be sent to users who have stalled their checkout. The template supports the following variables:

  • {{appName}}: Your app's name

  • {{firstName}}: The first name of the prospect (or "there" if unknown)

  • {{offerName}}: The name of the offer they were checking out

To customize the template:

  1. In the Growth Automations section, find the email template settings.

  2. Edit the subject line and body to include the variables as needed.

Sending a Test Email

Before launching your automation, it's a good idea to send a test email to ensure everything appears as expected. To do this:

  1. In the email template section, look for the Send Test Email button.

  2. Click it and enter your email address to receive a preview of the email.

Viewing Sent and Conversion Stats

After enabling the automation, you can monitor its effectiveness:

  1. Navigate to the Growth Automations section.

  2. Look for the stats related to sent emails and conversion rates.

  3. Analyze the data to see how many prospects returned to complete their checkout.

Integrations with Zapier, Kit, and Klaviyo

The Stalled Checkout automation integrates seamlessly with Zapier, Kit, and Klaviyo to enhance your marketing efforts:

  • Zapier: Use the growth.checkout_abandoned trigger to automate workflows based on abandoned checkouts.

  • Kit and Klaviyo: Map the Checkout Abandoned event to your tags or lists for targeted follow-up.
