Yes, people can add their own ingredients to their shopping list. They can click the Add item to shopping list button and add the ingredient name, quantity and unit of measure, and save.

Reset shopping list
The shopping list can be reset at anytime by any user. This will remove any manually added items, and restore any of the automatically generated items that were previously deleted. It resets back to the default state of the plan.
