Discovering Content

Members can find content in your app through several methods:

Search

Members can use the search bar to quickly find recipes, meal plans, and other resources by entering keywords.

Collections

Content can be organized into collections, allowing members to browse curated groups of recipes or meal plans that suit their interests.

Filters

Members can apply filters to narrow down search results based on dietary preferences, cuisine types, and other criteria. This helps them find exactly what they need.

Saving Favorites and Creating Personal Lists

Members have the ability to save their favorite recipes and meal plans:

  • Favorites: Members can click the heart icon on any content card to add it to their favorites. They can view all their favorites in the "My Favorites" section.

  • Personal Lists: Members can create custom lists to organize content, such as "Weeknight Dinners" or "Healthy Snacks." These lists are private and can be managed from the "My Stuff" hub.

Rating and Commenting on Recipes

Members can engage with your content by rating and commenting on recipes:

  • Ratings: Members can rate recipes on a 5-star scale. Ratings of 4 stars or higher are automatically approved, while lower ratings may require admin review.

  • Comments: Members can leave comments on recipes to provide feedback or ask questions. These comments can be moderated by admins.

Following Meal Plans and Generating Shopping Lists

Members can follow meal plans to streamline their cooking:

  • Meal Plans: Members can select meal plans that suit their dietary needs and preferences. Each meal plan outlines recipes for specific days.

  • Shopping Lists: When following a meal plan, members can generate a shopping list that includes all necessary ingredients. This list is organized by grocery aisle for convenience.

Using Cooking Mode

Cooking Mode enhances the cooking experience by providing a full-screen, distraction-free interface:

  • Step-by-Step Navigation: Members can swipe or use keyboard arrows to navigate through recipe steps one at a time.

  • Inline Ingredients: Ingredients are displayed alongside instructions, automatically scaled based on serving sizes.

  • Quick Reference: Members can access a slide-in drawer for a quick view of all ingredients.

Setting Personal Preferences

Members can customize their experience by setting personal preferences:

  • Measurement System: Members can choose between metric or imperial measurement systems for ingredient quantities.

  • Dietary Restrictions: Members can specify allergens and dietary preferences to filter out recipes that do not meet their needs.

Installing the App on Their Phone

Members can install your app on their mobile devices for easy access:

  • Installable App: Members can add the app to their home screen, allowing for quick access without needing to go through a web browser.
