Collections
Content is organized into collections, making it easy for members to browse through curated groups of recipes or meal plans.
Filters
Members can apply filters to narrow down their search results based on dietary preferences, cuisine types, or other criteria.
Saving Favorites and Creating Personal Lists
Members have the ability to save their favorite recipes, meal plans, and resources. They can do this by clicking the heart icon on any content card or detail page. All their favorites are accessible from the "My Favorites" page.
Additionally, members can create custom lists to organize content according to their preferences, such as "Weeknight Dinners" or "Healthy Snacks." These lists are private and can be managed from the "My Stuff" page.
Rating and Commenting on Recipes
Members can rate recipes on a 5-star scale. They can provide feedback, which is required for ratings of 2 stars or lower. Ratings help other members gauge the quality of recipes and contribute to overall engagement.
Members can also leave comments on recipes, allowing them to share their experiences or ask questions. Admins can reply to these comments, fostering a sense of community.
Following Meal Plans and Generating Shopping Lists
When members follow a meal plan, they can generate a shopping list that includes all necessary ingredients. The shopping list is organized by aisle, making grocery shopping more efficient. Members can also manage their shopping lists by marking items as purchased or adding manual items.
Pantry Feature
Members can maintain a pantry of ingredients they always have on hand. This helps streamline their shopping lists by hiding pantry items from the shopping list when desired.
Using Cooking Mode for Step-by-Step Cooking
Cooking Mode provides a full-screen, distraction-free experience for members while they cook. It guides them through each recipe step with clear instructions and media. Members can navigate through steps using swipe gestures or keyboard shortcuts, making it easy to follow along without losing their place.
Features of Cooking Mode:
Step-by-step navigation
Full-screen display for each step
Inline ingredients with automatic scaling
Quick ingredient reference via a slide-in drawer
Wake lock to prevent the screen from sleeping
