Why: Allow your members to customize their experience by setting preferences for measurement systems, allergens, and dietary restrictions. This personalization helps them find recipes and meal plans that suit their needs, enhancing their overall experience with your app.
Navigate: App Station > App Settings > Access Levels for configuring access levels; App Station > App Settings > Content Settings > Ingredients for allergen management.
Quick Start
Click on App Settings in the App Station.
Select Access Levels to configure member permissions for dietary preferences.
Go to Content Settings and then Ingredients to manage allergen options.
Set the available measurement systems under User Preferences.
Save your changes.

Overview of Member Preferences
Members can personalize their experience by setting preferences that affect how they interact with recipes and meal plans. These preferences include:
Measurement System: Members can choose between metric and imperial measurements.
Allergen Exclusions: Members can specify allergens to exclude from their recipe searches.
Dietary Preferences: Members can select dietary preferences that will influence recipe recommendations.
Measurement System
Members can set their preferred measurement system in their profile settings. This preference allows the app to display ingredient amounts in either metric or imperial units, ensuring that members can easily follow recipes.
Configuring Measurement Systems
As an admin, you can manage the available measurement systems for your members. This includes:
Metric: Grams, liters, etc.
Imperial: Ounces, pounds, cups, etc.
To configure these settings, navigate to the User Preferences section in your app settings.
Allergen Exclusions
Members can specify allergens they want to avoid, which will completely hide recipes containing those allergens. This feature is crucial for ensuring the safety of members with food allergies.
The Big 9 Allergens
The following allergens can be managed:
Milk
Eggs
Fish
Shellfish
Tree Nuts
Peanuts
Wheat
Soybeans
Sesame
Configuring Allergen Options
To set up allergen exclusions:
Go to App Settings.
Select Content Settings.
Click on Ingredients to manage allergen options.
Ensure that the allergens you want to offer for exclusion are enabled.
Dietary Preferences
Members can choose their dietary preferences, which can either boost the visibility of recipes that match their preferences or filter out recipes that do not.
Configurable Modes
Boost: Recipes that match the dietary preferences rank higher in search results.
Filter: Only recipes with matching dietary tags are shown.
Common dietary tags include Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto, and Paleo.
Setting Up Dietary Preferences
To configure dietary preferences:
Navigate to App Settings.
Select Access Levels to set permissions for dietary preferences.
Ensure that the relevant dietary tags are available for members to select.
Disliked Ingredients
Members can also specify ingredients they dislike. This can be set to either deprioritize recipes containing those ingredients or completely hide them from search results.
Configuring Disliked Ingredients
To manage disliked ingredients:
Go to App Settings.
Select Content Settings.
Click on Ingredients to set up options for disliked ingredients.
Important Notes
Members always have the ability to change their preferences at any time.
Admins can view and manage these preferences but cannot set them for members.
All changes made to preferences will reflect immediately in the member's experience.
