Why: Allow your members to personalize their experience by setting preferences for allergens, dietary restrictions, and measurement systems. This ensures they receive content tailored to their needs, enhancing their satisfaction and engagement with your app.
Navigate: App Station > App Settings > Member Preferences
Quick Start
Click on App Settings in the App Station.
Select Member Preferences.
Configure the available Allergen Exclusions by selecting allergens to hide from recipes.
Set up Dietary Preferences to boost or filter recipes based on dietary tags.
Choose the Measurement System options for your members (metric or imperial).

Overview of Member Preferences
Members can set various preferences that affect their recipe and meal plan experiences. These preferences include:
Allergen Exclusions: Members can specify allergens they want to avoid, ensuring recipes containing these allergens are hidden.
Dietary Preferences: Members can indicate their dietary preferences, which can either boost recipes that match these preferences or filter out those that do not.
Cuisine Preferences: Members can express their preferred cuisines, which will rank recipes accordingly without completely hiding others.
Disliked Ingredients: Members can mark ingredients they dislike, which can either lower the ranking of recipes containing these ingredients or hide them entirely.
Measurement System: Members can choose between metric and imperial systems for ingredient measurements.
Configuring Allergen Exclusions
Allergen exclusions allow members to hide recipes containing specific allergens. The system supports the following allergens:
Milk
Eggs
Fish
Shellfish
Tree Nuts
Peanuts
Wheat
Soybeans
Sesame
To configure allergen exclusions:
Go to App Settings > Member Preferences.
Select the allergens you want to exclude from recipes.
Save your changes.
Tip: Make sure to communicate to your members how to set their allergen preferences for a safer cooking experience.
Setting Dietary Preferences
Dietary preferences can be configured to either boost or filter recipes based on selected dietary tags (e.g., Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto).
To set dietary preferences:
In the Member Preferences section, choose the dietary tags that apply to your members.
Select whether to Boost (default) or Filter these recipes.
Save your changes.
Cuisine Preferences
Members can also select their preferred cuisines. This feature allows recipes that match these preferences to rank higher in search results.
To configure cuisine preferences:
Navigate to Member Preferences.
Select the cuisines your members prefer.
Save the settings.
Disliked Ingredients
Members can indicate ingredients they dislike, which can either deprioritize recipes containing these ingredients or hide them completely.
To configure disliked ingredients:
Go to Member Preferences.
Add any disliked ingredients.
Choose whether to Deprioritize or Hide recipes with these ingredients.
Save your changes.
Measurement System Preferences
Members can set their preferred measurement system (metric or imperial) for ingredient amounts. This preference is crucial for ensuring that members receive measurements they are comfortable with.
To configure measurement system preferences:
In the Member Preferences section, select either Metric or Imperial.
Save your changes.
Note: The measurement system preference will automatically convert ingredient amounts in recipes and shopping lists based on the selected system.
