Gift subscriptions

The community you have built is filled with members who want to share your app with family and friends. The app provides a way for them to purchase a subscription for somebody as a gift. They pay for the first payment of a subscription, and then the recipient pays for future renewals.

Setting up gifts

There is nothing to do! Just make sure you have Active, Public products available for purchase.

Purchasing a gift

The gift banner displays on the member profile page.


When a member click/taps View gifts, they are prompted to select which product/price is to be purchased.

The member can then specify the recipient of the gift.


The recipient will receive a welcome email instructing them how to login.


Promoting gifts

Now that gifts are available, you can also promote this to your members. When enabled, members will occasionally see an additional card within other content lists prompting them to purchase a gift.

This gift card will display in random locations at random times so as not to burden your members. And if they close the card, they won't see it for a period of days you define.


Enabling gift prompts

App station > Members > Pricing

Once you have enabled the gift prompts you set the number of days to wait before showing the prompt again, should the user close the card manually.
