Bulk Editing Content

Why: Save time and streamline your content management by selecting multiple items at once to apply actions like tagging, categorizing, or changing access levels. This allows you to efficiently organize your content and enhance your app's offerings for members.

Navigate: App Station > Content Library > [select items]

Quick Start

  1. Go to the Content Library in App Station.

  2. Use Shift-click to select multiple content items.

  3. Click the Actions dropdown in the floating toolbar.

  4. Choose the action you want to apply (e.g., Add Tags, Set Visibility).

  5. Follow the prompts to complete the action.


Overview of Bulk Editing

The bulk editing feature in the Content Library allows you to manage multiple content items efficiently. You can perform various actions, including:

  • Publishing or unpublishing content

  • Scheduling content for future publication

  • Setting visibility (public, members-only, or assigned)

  • Adding or removing tags and categories

  • Deleting content items

Selecting Content

To select multiple items for bulk editing:

  • Click on the checkbox next to each content item you want to select.

  • Use Shift-click to select a range of items quickly.

Bulk Actions Toolbar

Once you have selected items, a floating toolbar will appear, showing the number of selected items and providing access to bulk actions. The actions include:

  • Publishing: Publish or unpublish selected content.

  • Access: Set visibility or assign users.

  • Tags: Add or remove tags.

  • Categories: Add or remove categories.

  • Danger: Delete selected items (this action is irreversible).

Publishing and Unpublishing

You can publish or unpublish multiple content items at once. This is useful for managing the visibility of your content effectively.

Scheduling Content

To schedule content for future publication:

  1. Select the items you want to schedule.

  2. Click on the Actions dropdown and choose Schedule.

  3. Set the desired publish date and time.

Setting Visibility

To control who can see your content:

  1. Select the items.

  2. Click on Set Visibility in the actions menu.

  3. Choose from options like Public, Members Only, or Assigned Only.

Adding and Removing Tags

Tags help organize your content by attributes. To manage tags:

  1. Select the items you want to tag.

  2. Click on Add Tags or Remove Tags from the actions menu.

  3. Choose the tags you want to apply or remove.

Adding and Removing Categories

Categories are a way to group content into broader topics. To manage categories:

  1. Select the items.

  2. Click on Add Categories or Remove Categories from the actions menu.

  3. Choose the categories you want to apply or remove.

Deleting Content

Be cautious when deleting content, as this action cannot be undone. To delete:

  1. Select the items you wish to remove.

  2. Click on Delete in the actions menu.

  3. Confirm the deletion.
