Overview of Announcements and Reactions
Announcements are a great way to communicate important updates to your members. With the reaction feature, members can express their feelings about your announcements using emojis. Here’s how it works:
Members can react to SENT announcements using one of five available emojis.
Each member can select one reaction per announcement. If they choose a different emoji, it will replace their previous reaction.
Clicking the same emoji again will remove their reaction.
As an admin, you can view reaction summaries directly in the announcements list.
Default Emoji Set
The default emoji set provides a range of reactions from positive to negative:
Emoji | Meaning |
😍 | Love/Excellent |
👍 | Positive/Like |
😐 | Neutral |
😕 | Confused/Uncertain |
👎 | Negative/Dislike |
Configuring Reactions
To set up the reaction feature, follow these steps:
Navigate to App Station > Features > Engagement.
Here, you can configure the following settings:
Enable Reactions: Turn this on to allow reactions for both announcements and blog posts.
Show Reaction Counts: Decide whether to display the number of reactions to your members.
Reaction Emoji: Choose five custom emojis to represent reactions, or opt to use the default emojis.
Viewing Reactions
As an admin, you can see how your announcements are received through the reaction summaries. These summaries will show the total counts for each emoji used by your members, helping you gauge their responses effectively.
Best Practices
Engage Regularly: Use announcements frequently to keep your members informed and engaged.
Monitor Reactions: Regularly check the reaction summaries to understand what content resonates most with your audience.
Customize Emojis: Consider using emojis that align with your brand to make the reactions feel more personalized.
