Why: Enable your members to share the gift of your content by allowing them to purchase subscriptions for friends and family. This feature enhances engagement and can help grow your subscriber base.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Offers
Quick Start
Click Offers in the App Station.
Select the offer you want to enable for gifting.
Toggle the Enable Gift Subscriptions option.
Customize the gift welcome email template.
Save your changes.
How Gift Subscriptions Work
The gift subscription system allows your members to purchase subscriptions or one-time access for others. Here’s how it operates:
Gifter Purchases: A member (the gifter) makes a one-time payment for the first subscription period.
Recipient Gets Subscription: The recipient receives a new subscription with a trial period that matches the billing interval (e.g., one month for monthly subscriptions).
Automatic Account Creation: If the recipient does not already have an account, one is automatically created for them.
Payment Method Requirement: Before the trial period ends, the recipient must add their own payment method to continue the subscription.
Gift Welcome Emails: Recipients receive a customizable welcome email that includes a personal message from the gifter.
Promotional Cards
You can also promote gift subscriptions using customizable promo cards. These can be inserted into content blocks to encourage gifting. You can configure how often these cards appear based on your promotional strategy.
Gift Welcome Email Customization
You can customize the welcome email that recipients receive when they are gifted a subscription. This email can include:
The name of your app
The recipient's first name
A personal message from the gifter
Details about the gifted offer
Managing Gift Subscriptions
To enable and manage gift subscriptions:
Go to the Offers section in the App Station.
Select the offer you want to configure for gifting.
Toggle the Enable Gift Subscriptions option to allow members to gift this offer.
Customize the gift welcome email template to suit your brand and messaging.
Tip: Consider promoting gift subscriptions during holidays or special events to maximize engagement.
