Creating Offers and Subscriptions

Why: Streamline your monetization strategy by creating various types of offers for your members. This allows you to provide flexible subscription options, one-time purchases, and promotional discounts, enhancing your revenue potential.

Navigate: App Station > Monetization > Offers

Quick Start

  1. Click the Create Offer button.

  2. Enter the offer Name and Description.

  3. Select the Offer Type (Subscription, One-Time, or Time-Limited).

  4. Choose the Access Levels that will be granted with this offer.

  5. Set the Pricing details and click Save.

Understanding Offers and Access Levels

In Member Kitchens, offers are the products that members can purchase to gain access to specific content. Each offer can grant one or more access levels, which control what content members can see.

Access Levels

Access levels define the permissions for your members. They determine what content users can access and can be customized to fit your needs. Here are some key points:

  • Public Content: Content without access level restrictions is visible to everyone.

  • Custom Levels: You can create custom access levels (e.g., "Silver", "Gold", "VIP") to manage tiered access.

  • Content Creation Permissions: You can allow members to create their own meal plans and recipes based on their access level.

Offer Types

There are three main types of offers you can create:

  1. Subscription Offers: Recurring payments (e.g., monthly or yearly).

  2. One-Time Offers: Single purchase for lifetime access (e.g., recipe bundles).

  3. Time-Limited Offers: Access for a specific duration (e.g., 30-day challenges).

Creating an Offer

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access the Offers Page: Navigate to App Station > Monetization > Offers.

  2. Create a New Offer:

    • Click the Create Offer button.

    • Fill in the Name and Description for your offer.

    • Choose the Offer Type (Subscription, One-Time, or Time-Limited).

    • Select the Access Levels that will be granted with this offer.

  3. Configure Pricing:

    • Set the pricing details, including currency and amount.

    • For subscription offers, define the billing interval (e.g., monthly, yearly).

  4. Save Your Offer: Click Save to create the offer. A checkout link will be automatically generated for your new offer.

Pricing Configuration

When setting up pricing for your offers, you can specify:

  • Currency: Choose from available currencies based on your Stripe account settings.

  • Payment Methods: Select which payment methods you want to accept (e.g., credit cards, Afterpay).

  • Trial Period: Optionally set a trial period for subscription offers.

Connecting Stripe for Payments

To process payments for your offers, you need to connect your Stripe account. Here’s how:

  1. Set Up Your Stripe Account: If you haven't already, create a Stripe account at Stripe Dashboard.

  2. Connect Stripe in Member Kitchens:

    • Navigate to App Station > App Settings > Payments.

    • Enter your Stripe API keys (both secret and publishable keys).

  3. Test Your Setup: Use Stripe's test cards to ensure everything is functioning correctly before going live.

Managing Offers

Once your offers are created, you can manage them through the Offers page:

  • Edit Offers: Click on an existing offer to update its details or pricing.

  • View Checkout Links: Each offer has an associated checkout link that you can share with your members.

  • Promo Codes: Create promo codes to offer discounts on your offers, enhancing your marketing efforts.
