Overview of Member Signup and Checkout
The member signup and checkout process allows your subscribers to easily purchase access to your content. This system supports various payment options, including subscription offers and one-time purchases, all securely processed through Stripe.
Customizing the Signup Experience
You can customize several aspects of the signup and checkout flow to enhance your members' experience:
1. Automatic Tax Calculation
You can enable automatic tax calculation during checkout. This ensures that your members see the correct total amount based on their location.
Setting: Enable this in the App Station under App Settings > Offers.
Effect: Stripe will automatically calculate taxes and collect the necessary billing information.
2. Terms & Privacy Consent
You can require members to accept your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before they complete their purchase.
Setting: Enable this option in the same Offers settings section.
Important: Ensure that the URLs for your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are configured in your Stripe Dashboard. If not set, checkouts will fail.
3. Free Trial Without Credit Card
Allow potential members to sign up for a free trial without requiring a credit card.
Setting: This is a per-offer option. You can set it when creating or editing an offer.
Member Experience: Members can start their trial with just their email and will need to add a payment method before the trial ends.
Checkout Links
You can create shareable checkout links for your offers. This makes it easy to promote your content through social media or email campaigns.
Location: Manage checkout links in App Station under App Settings > Checkout Links.
Features:
Create, edit, or archive links.
View analytics for link performance.
Toggle the active status of links.
Automatically apply promo codes.
Password Setup for New Users
When new users complete their signup, they can set their password on the success page. This allows them to log in easily in the future without needing an email magic link.
After payment, the success page checks if the user is new and prompts them to set a password.
Users can choose to set their password immediately or skip it for later.
Purchase Entry Points
Your members can access the checkout process through various entry points:
Pricing Page: Displays all active offers and allows guests to click through to checkout.
Checkout Links: Shareable URLs for specific offers.
Direct Offer Checkout: Links that take users directly to the checkout for a specific offer.
Upgrade Flow
If existing members encounter locked content, they can easily upgrade their subscription through the checkout system. This is facilitated by:
Locked Content Overlays: Prompts users to upgrade when they try to access restricted content.
Upgrade Page: A dedicated page that shows offers relevant to their current subscription.

Use Descriptive Slugs: When creating checkout links, ensure they are easy to understand (e.g.,
