Detailed Instructions

How to Duplicate a Recipe

Duplicating a recipe is a straightforward process that allows you to create a complete copy of an existing recipe. This includes all ingredients, steps, prep-ahead items, images, tags, and access levels. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Access the Content Library: From your App Station, navigate to the Content Library and click on Recipes.

  2. Select a Recipe: Find the recipe you want to duplicate and click on it to open the recipe editor.

  3. Duplicate the Recipe: Click the Duplicate (✨) button. This action will create a new draft recipe with all the original recipe's details copied over.

  4. Edit the Duplicated Recipe: You can now make any changes to the duplicated recipe, such as adjusting ingredients or steps.

  5. Save Your Changes: Once you’re satisfied with the modifications, save the recipe as a draft. Remember, only you as the admin can see this draft until you publish it.

What Gets Copied

When you duplicate a recipe, the following elements are included in the copy:

  • Ingredients: All ingredients from the original recipe are copied over.

  • Steps: The cooking steps are duplicated exactly as they were.

  • Prep-Ahead Items: Any prep-ahead instructions will also be included.

  • Images: All associated images are copied, ensuring your new recipe looks great.

  • Tags and Access Levels: These will be retained in the duplicated recipe.

Nutrition Recalculation

After duplicating a recipe, the nutrition information will be automatically recomputed in the background. This means you don’t have to worry about manually adjusting nutrition values; they will be updated based on the ingredients you have copied.

Important Notes

  • Duplicated recipes are created as drafts, meaning they won't be visible to your members until you publish them.

  • Only admins can duplicate recipes, ensuring that this powerful feature is used responsibly.
