Why: Quickly add new recipes to your app by importing them directly from external websites. This saves you time and ensures your subscribers have access to a wider variety of recipes without manual entry.
Navigate: App Station > Content Library > Recipes > Import
Quick Start
Navigate to the Content Library in your App Station.
Click the Import dropdown and choose Import from URL.
Read and acknowledge the copyright warning.
Paste the recipe URL and click Extract.
Review the extracted recipe summary and edit ingredients as needed.
Click Insert Ingredients to save.
Open the recipe in the editor for final adjustments.
Detailed Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to Content Library
Start by logging into your App Station and navigating to the Content Library. This is where you manage all your recipes and other content.
Step 2: Import from URL
Click the Import dropdown button located at the top right of the page. From the dropdown menu, select Import from URL.
Step 3: Acknowledge Copyright Warning
Before proceeding, a copyright warning will appear. This warning informs you that the content you are importing may be copyrighted and that you must have permission to use it. You need to check a box to acknowledge this warning before continuing.
Step 4: Paste the Recipe URL
Once you acknowledge the copyright warning, you will see a field to paste the recipe URL. Enter the URL of the recipe you wish to import and click the Extract button.
Step 5: Review Extracted Recipe Summary
The system will fetch the recipe data from the provided URL. You will see a summary that includes the recipe title, preparation time, cooking time, servings, steps, and nutrition information. Review this summary to ensure everything looks correct.
Step 6: Edit Ingredients
The ingredients will be extracted but may need your attention. Review the list of ingredients presented. You can:
Edit amounts and units.
Search for existing ingredients from your library to match.
Create new ingredients if necessary.
Remove any ingredients that are not needed.
Step 7: Insert Ingredients
Once you are satisfied with the ingredient list, click the Insert Ingredients button to save them into your recipe.
Step 8: Final Adjustments in the Editor
After inserting the ingredients, you can open the recipe in the editor for any final adjustments. This is where you can add photos, videos, or any additional notes to enhance the recipe.
Member Access
If you have enabled the Import from URL feature for your members, they can also use this functionality to import recipes directly into their accounts. Remember that every import requires acknowledgment of copyright, just like for admins.
Note: The copyright acknowledgment is required every time you import a recipe from a URL.
