Understanding Collections
Collections are a powerful way to group your content into themed categories, making it easier for your members to browse and find what they're looking for. Unlike tags, which are used for specific labels, Collections provide a more structured way to present your content.
Difference Between Tags and Collections
Tags are individual labels that can be applied to content for filtering and searching. They help categorize content but do not provide a narrative structure.
Collections are curated groupings that tell a story about the content within them. They can include a rich text description, cover images, and can be displayed as browsable pages for your members.
Creating a Collection
To create a Collection, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Tags & Collections section in App Station.
Click on Collections.
Click the Create New Collection button.
Fill in the following details:
Name: Choose a clear, user-friendly name for your collection.
Description: Use rich text to provide context, tips, or stories related to the content in this collection.
Color: Select a color to visually differentiate your collection.
Applicable Content Types: Choose which types of content (like recipes or meal plans) this collection will include.

Reorder: Adjust the display order of your collections to control how they appear to members.
How Collections Appear to Members
When members access your app, they can browse Collections as dedicated content pages. Each Collection will display:
A cover image
The collection name
A rich text description
A list of content items included in the collection
This layout allows members to easily explore related content and enhances their overall experience.
Best Practices for Using Collections
Storytelling: Use the description field to tell a story about each collection, providing context and tips for your members.
Visual Appeal: Always upload a cover image to make collections visually engaging.
Clear Naming: Choose names that are descriptive and easy for members to understand.
Content Type Scoping: Set applicable content types to ensure collections only show relevant content.
