Understanding Offers and Subscriptions
Types of Offers
You can create three types of offers:
Subscription Offers: Recurring payments for ongoing access (e.g., monthly or yearly).
One-Time Offers: Single purchases for lifetime access (e.g., a recipe bundle).
Free Offers: No cost to access specific content.
Connecting Stripe for Payments
To accept payments, you must connect your Stripe account. This integration allows you to manage subscriptions and process payments securely.
Set Up Stripe: Make sure your Stripe account is created and connected.
Payment Methods: The following payment methods are available:
Card: Always available.
Klarna: Available for both subscriptions and one-time offers (requires setup in Stripe).
Afterpay/Clearpay: Available for one-time offers only (requires setup in Stripe).
Tip: Klarna and Afterpay require one-time setup in the Stripe Dashboard under Settings > Payment methods before they can be used by your members.
Creating an Offer
Access the Offers Section: Go to Offers in your App Station.
Choose Offer Type: Select either Subscription Offers or One-Time Offers.
Fill in Offer Details: Provide a name, description, and select the access levels that this offer will grant.
Set Pricing: Choose the currency and set the amount for the offer.
Save the Offer: Click Save to create the offer and automatically generate a checkout link.
Unlisted Offers
You can create unlisted offers that are hidden from the upgrade page and paywall lists but remain purchasable via direct checkout links. This is useful for exclusive promotions or limited-time offers.
Setting Unlisted Offers: You can set an offer as unlisted during the creation process or edit an existing offer to make it unlisted.
Switching Subscription Offers
Members can switch between any active subscription offers directly from their Customer Portal. This process is managed automatically, and you do not need to configure anything in the Stripe Dashboard.
If a member switches plans, their access levels will be updated accordingly.
Tip: If a recent change to your offers is not appearing in the member portal, use the Resync member portal button found under Checkout Settings.
Payment Methods Overview
Card: Always available for all offers.
Klarna: Available for both subscriptions and one-time offers; requires setup in Stripe.
Afterpay/Clearpay: Available for one-time offers only; requires setup in Stripe.
Managing Access Levels
Each offer can grant one or more access levels, controlling what content members can see.
Access Levels: You can create custom access levels (e.g., Silver, Gold) to manage content visibility effectively.
Direct Access Grants: You can also provide direct access to specific members through content grants.
