Why: Streamline your monetization strategy by creating flexible subscription offers, one-time purchases, and free offers. This allows your members to easily access your content while you manage payments seamlessly.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Offers
Quick Start
Click the Subscription Offers tab in the Offers section.
Click Create Offer and fill in the basic details (name, description).
Select the access levels you want to grant with this offer.
Set the pricing and payment methods, including any trial periods if applicable.
Save the offer and note the auto-generated checkout link for sharing.
Creating Offers
Types of Offers
You can create three types of offers:
Subscription Offers: Recurring payments for ongoing access.
One-Time Purchase Offers: Single payments for lifetime access to specific content.
Free Offers: Access without payment, useful for promotional purposes.
Steps to Create an Offer
Navigate to the Offers Section: Go to App Station > Settings > Offers.
Choose the Offer Type: Select either Subscription Offers or One-Time Offers.
Fill in Offer Details:
Name: Give your offer a clear and descriptive name.
Description: Provide details about what the offer includes.
Access Levels: Choose which access levels this offer will grant. Remember, members need to meet these access levels to view the content.
Set Pricing:
For subscription offers, define the billing interval (monthly, yearly, etc.) and set the price.
For one-time offers, set a one-time price.
Payment Methods: Select the payment methods you want to accept. Card payments are always available, while Klarna can be used for both subscriptions and one-time offers. Afterpay/Clearpay is only available for one-time offers and requires setup in the Stripe Dashboard.
Save the Offer: Once you have filled in all the necessary details, save the offer. A checkout link will be automatically created for you.
Unlisted Offers
You can mark offers as unlisted. This means they will not appear on the upgrade page or paywall lists but can still be purchased via direct checkout links. You can set this option per offer or for the entire offer group.
Connecting Stripe for Payments
To accept payments through your offers, you need to connect your Stripe account. Here’s how:
Set Up Your Stripe Account: Ensure you have a Stripe account and have configured it for your app.
Connect Stripe in App Station: Follow the prompts in App Station to link your Stripe account.
Payment Methods:
Card Payments: Always available.
Klarna: Available for both subscription and one-time offers, but requires one-time setup in the Stripe Dashboard.
Afterpay/Clearpay: Available only for one-time offers and requires setup in the Stripe Dashboard.
Tip: When you select a BNPL method like Klarna or Afterpay for an offer, the admin UI will show a setup link to guide you through the necessary steps in Stripe.
Managing Member Subscriptions
Members can switch between any active subscription offers from their Customer Portal. This process is managed automatically by Member Kitchens, so you don’t need to configure anything in the Stripe Dashboard.
Resyncing the Member Portal
If you make changes to offers and they don’t appear in the member portal, you can use the Resync member portal button located under App Station > Settings > Offers > Checkout Settings. This will update the portal with the latest offer configurations.
Payment Methods Overview
Card: Always available for all offers.
Klarna: Available for both subscriptions and one-time offers, requires setup.
Afterpay/Clearpay: Available for one-time offers only, requires setup.
Important Note on BNPL Methods
Before members can use Klarna or Afterpay, these methods must be enabled in your Stripe connected account. You can do this by visiting the payment methods section in the Stripe Dashboard.
