Why Set Up Creator Personality?
Setting up your creator personality is vital for several reasons:
Trust and Recognition: Members are more likely to engage with a familiar face. A clear name, photo, and tagline personalize your app, making it feel less generic and more like a community.
Centralized Management: All identity fields are managed in one place under App Station > App Settings > Personality. This ensures consistency across your app.
Optional Fields: You can choose which fields to fill out. If you leave the Creator Name blank, most bylines and attribution will remain hidden, avoiding half-completed profiles.
Where Members See Your Personality
Your creator personality appears in various locations throughout the app, enhancing member engagement:
Where | What Members See |
Recipe, Meal Plan, Blog, Course, and Resource Detail Pages | A byline featuring a small avatar and creator name. Clicking it opens the Creator Profile sheet with your full bio and links. |
Creator Profile Sheet | Displays a large photo, name, tagline, bio, and social profile links (these links are managed separately but shown here). |
Feed Block | When configured, shows creator identity on each blog post. |
Content Story Block | Optionally displays a creator line above the story text if enabled in the block settings. |
Note: The theme and branding settings (like logo, colors, and typography) are separate from your personality settings.
Setting Up Your Creator Personality
To configure your personality, follow these steps:
Go to App Station > App Settings > Personality.
Fill in the Creator Name and Tagline fields. The Creator Name will be displayed prominently, while the tagline offers a brief descriptor of who you are.
Upload your Profile Photo. It’s recommended to use a square image with a minimum size of 200x200 pixels. You can drag and drop your image into the upload area.
Write your Bio using the rich text editor. This allows for rich formatting, including bold, italics, and links.
Click Save Changes to apply your updates.
Social profile links are managed separately under the Social Sharing settings but will be displayed within the Creator Profile Sheet.
Understanding the Creator Profile Sheet
When members click on your name or avatar in the content detail headers, they will see the Creator Profile Sheet, which includes:
A circular profile image
Your name
Your tagline (in italics)
A sanitized rich text bio
Links to your social media profiles
This sheet serves as a comprehensive introduction to you as a creator, fostering a deeper connection with your members.
