Why Set Up Creator Personality?

Setting up your creator personality is essential for building a strong connection with your members. Here are the key benefits:

  • Trust and Recognition: Members are more likely to engage with a recognizable figure. A clear name, photo, and tagline make your app feel personal and relatable.

  • Centralized Management: You can manage your identity in one place under App Station > App Settings > Personality. The same information is used across all areas where creator attribution appears.

  • Optional Fields: All fields are optional. If you leave the Creator Name blank, most bylines will be hidden, ensuring your app maintains a clean look without half-filled identity fields.

Where Members See Your Personality

Your creator personality appears in several key areas within the app. Here's where members can see your identity:

Where

What Members See

Recipe, Meal Plan, Blog, Course, and Resource Detail Pages

A byline featuring a small avatar and your name. Clicking it opens the Creator Profile sheet with your full bio and links.

Creator Profile Sheet

Displays a large photo, name, tagline, bio, and social profile links (note that social links are managed under a different section).

Feed Block

Shows your identity on each blog post when configured to include it.

Content Story Block

Optionally displays a creator line above the story text when enabled in the block settings.

Note: The theme and branding elements, such as logo and colors, are separate from your personality settings.

Setting Up Your Creator Personality

To configure your creator personality, follow these steps:

  1. Go to App Station > App Settings > Personality.

  2. Fill in the Creator Name and Tagline fields.

  3. Upload your Profile Photo. Make sure it's a square image, ideally at least 200x200 pixels.

  4. Use the Bio Editor to write a rich text bio that represents you. This editor supports various formatting options.

  5. Click Save Changes to apply your updates.

Social profile links are displayed in the Creator Profile Sheet but are managed separately in the Social Sharing settings.

Understanding the Creator Profile Sheet

When members click on your byline in any content detail header, they will see the Creator Profile Sheet. This modal includes:

  • Your profile image

  • Your name

  • Your tagline (in italics)

  • Your bio (formatted as rich text)

  • Links to your social media profiles

This feature enhances the personal connection between you and your members, allowing them to learn more about you.
