Why: Allow your members to add personal notes to recipes, meal plans, and other content, enhancing their engagement and experience with your app. This feature enables members to keep track of their thoughts and modifications privately.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Access Levels
Quick Start
Go to App Station and select Settings.
Click on Access Levels.
Enable the Content Notes toggle for the desired access level.
Ensure the member_content_modifications feature is enabled by your superadmin.
Inform your members they can add notes in the Notes section on content detail pages.
Adding Personal Notes
Members can add personal plain-text notes to any content item, including recipes, meal plans, blog posts, courses, and resources. Here’s how it works:
Visibility and Privacy
Notes are private to each member. Only the member who created a note can see it.
Each member can have one note per content item, with a maximum of 2000 characters in plain text.
How Members Add Notes
When a member views a content item, they will see the Add a private note prompt if they haven't added a note yet. Once they add a note, it will appear in the Notes section labeled "Your Note."
Enabling Notes for Members
To allow members to use this feature, you need to ensure the following:
The member_content_modifications feature must be enabled by a superadmin.
Each member's access level must have the Content Notes toggle enabled. You can manage this in the App Station under Settings > Access Levels.
Configuring Note Visibility
You can control the visibility of the Notes block on detail pages using the showMemberNotes configuration. If set to false, the member's note section will be hidden, even if they have notes.
Important Considerations
Only the member who created the note can view it.
Notes are limited to plain text and cannot include formatting or special characters.
If a member tries to add a note beyond the character limit, they will be prompted to shorten their note.
Tip: Encourage your members to use notes for personal reflections, adjustments to recipes, or reminders related to their meal plans. This can enhance their overall experience with your content.
