Why: Enhance member engagement and motivation by recognizing their achievements with customizable badges. This feature helps create a vibrant community where members feel rewarded for their activities.
Navigate: App Station > Features > Gamification > Badges
Quick Start
Click the Gamification tab in App Station.
Select the Badges tab.
Click Create Badge to start a new badge.
Upload a square image or choose an icon/emoji, then customize the color and shape.
Set the trigger type for how the badge will be awarded.

Creating and Editing Badges
To manage achievement badges for your app, navigate to the Badges tab under the Gamification section in App Station. Here, you can create new badges or edit existing ones.
Upload a Square Image: You can upload a custom image for your badge. This image will take priority over other options.
Choose an Icon or Emoji: If you prefer, select a built-in icon or use an emoji as your badge representation.
Customize Appearance: Adjust the badge's color and shape to fit your app's branding.
Each kitchen receives its own editable copies of the default badges, allowing you to tailor them to your community's needs.
Badge Trigger Types
Badges can be awarded in two ways:
Automatic Triggers: These badges are awarded based on specific member actions, such as completing a certain number of tasks or reaching milestones.
Manual Triggers: As an admin, you can manually award badges to members for their achievements.
The available automatic trigger types include:
First favorite
Favorite count
First comment
Comment count
And more...
Member Badge Visibility
Members can view their earned and locked badges by navigating to My Points > Badges in the app. They can feature up to three badges on their profile, showcasing their achievements to others.
Featured Badges: The badges that members choose to feature will appear on their profile and in the leaderboard. This visibility encourages friendly competition and recognition among peers.
Forum Author Sidebar: Featured badges also show up in the sidebar of forum authors, further promoting member achievements within the community.
Leaderboard and Engagement
The leaderboard displays top point earners, including their featured badges. When members click on a name or avatar in the forum, comments, or leaderboard, a member card pops up showing their featured badges, total badge count, and current streak.
This integration not only highlights individual achievements but also fosters a sense of community and competition among members.
