Why: Enhance member interaction and satisfaction by tracking engagement through favorites, ratings, comments, and gamification. These features help you understand your audience better and encourage active participation.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Engagement
Quick Start
Go to the Engagement settings in App Station.
Enable or disable Favorites, Ratings, and Comments as needed.
Configure specific content types for each engagement feature.
Adjust point values for gamification actions.
Save your changes.
Engagement Features Overview
The engagement system in your app allows you to track how members interact with your content. This includes:
Favorites: Members can save content they love for easy access later.
Ratings: Members can rate content on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
Comments: Members can leave comments on content, and you can respond to them.
These features can be configured individually for different content types, allowing you to tailor the experience to your audience.
Configuring Engagement Features
Accessing Engagement Settings
To configure engagement features, navigate to the Engagement settings in App Station:
Click on Settings in the left sidebar.
Select Engagement.
Favorites Configuration
Enable/Disable: Toggle the favorites feature on or off.
Content Types: Choose which content types (e.g., recipes, meal plans) can be favorited.
Heart Color: Select a color for the heart icon that represents favorites.
Ratings Configuration
Enable/Disable: Toggle the ratings feature on or off.
Content Types: Choose which content types can be rated.
Star Color: Select a color for the star rating system.
Comments Configuration
Enable/Disable: Toggle the comments feature on or off.
Content Types: Choose which content types can have comments.
Moderation Mode: Select whether comments require pre-approval or can be posted directly.
Max Comment Length: Set a limit on the number of characters allowed in comments.
Gamification Features
Gamification encourages engagement through a points system. Here’s how to set it up:
Points Economy: Assign points for various actions like favoriting, rating, and commenting.
Achievement Badges: Create badges that members can earn for reaching milestones.
Leaderboards: Display top point earners to encourage competition.
Rewards System: Define rewards that members can claim with their points.
Configuring Points and Badges
In the Gamification section of the Engagement settings:
Point Values: Customize how many points members earn for each action.
Badges: Create and manage achievement badges that members can earn based on their activity.
Tracking Completions
The completions system allows members to mark content as completed, such as recipes they've cooked or challenges they've finished. This feature supports gamification by enabling members to earn badges for completing content.
How to Enable Completions
Enable/Disable: Toggle the completions feature on or off.
Content Types: Choose which content types can be marked as completed.
