  5. Adjust the limits as needed.

Understanding Public Content Limits

The public content limit system helps you manage how much of your content can be made publicly accessible. This is crucial for maintaining the value of your subscription offers and preventing abuse of the platform.

Default Configuration

  • Public Limit: By default, you can set up to 10% of each content type as public.

  • Minimum Allowance: Regardless of the percentage, at least 10 items can always be public for each content type.

  • Dynamic Growth: As your content library expands, the number of items you can make public increases.

  • Disabling Limits: You can set the limit to 0% if you want to allow unlimited public content.

How the Limit Works

The public content limit scales with your content library. For example:

  • If you have 5 recipes, you can have 10 public items (minimum floor).

  • With 200 recipes, you can have 20 public items.

  • At 500 recipes, the limit increases to 50 public items.

This means that as you grow your content, you can share more of it publicly, helping to attract new members.

Content Types Affected

The following content types are subject to public limits:

  • Recipe

  • Meal Plan

  • Challenge

  • Resource

Note: Blog posts can be 100% public and are exempt from these limits.

What Defines "Public" Content

Content is considered public when:

  1. Its visibility is set to PUBLIC.

  2. It has a publish date that is in the past.

Draft content that hasn't been published does not count towards your public limit.

Managing Public Content

When you delete content, your public content ratio may exceed the configured limit. In this case:

  • Existing public content remains public.

  • You will receive an email notification if you exceed the limit.

  • You cannot add more public content until you are back under the limit.
