Why: Create tailored recipe filter presets to help your members quickly find the content they love. By using named bundles of filter criteria, you enhance the user experience and make navigation effortless.

Navigate: App Station > Features > Filters

Quick Start

  1. Go to the Saved Presets tab in the Filters section.

  2. Click New Preset.

  3. Enter a name for your preset and optionally add a description.

  4. Set your filter criteria using the available options.

  5. Click Save to create your preset.

Where to Find It

To manage your saved presets, navigate to the Filters section in App Station:

  1. Open App Station.

  2. Click on Features.

  3. Select Filters.

  4. Switch to the Saved Presets tab.

What You Can Filter On

You can create saved presets based on a variety of criteria, including:

  • Tags: Organize recipes by specific labels.

  • Collections: Use tag-based collections for grouping.

  • Include/Exclude Ingredients: Specify which ingredients to include or exclude.

  • Difficulty: Set the difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard).

  • Cook Time: Define a maximum cook time.

  • Prep Time: Define a maximum prep time.

  • Servings: Specify the number of servings.

  • Nutrition Fields: Filter based on calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar, and sodium.

How to Create a Preset

Creating a saved preset is straightforward:

  1. Click the New Preset button.

  2. Enter a memorable name for your preset.

  3. Optionally, add a description to provide more context.

  4. Use the filter form to set your criteria. Remember, at least one filter must be set.

  5. Click Save to finalize your preset.

How It Appears to Members

Once created, your saved presets will appear as a horizontal row of chip buttons above the accordion filters in the advanced recipe filter panel.

  • Members can click a chip to apply that preset.

  • If any filter is modified after applying a preset, a * badge will appear on the chip, indicating that the preset has been modified.

Order and Active Status

You can manage the order and visibility of your presets:

  • Reorder: Drag and drop presets to change their order.

  • Active/Inactive Status: Toggle presets between active and inactive. Inactive presets are hidden from members but remain saved for future use.

Default Presets

When you create a new account, five sample presets are automatically included:

  • Quick Weeknight Dinners

  • High Protein

  • Low Calorie

  • Low Carb

  • Meal Prep Friendly

These can be edited or deleted as needed.

Difference from Quick Filter Chips

It's important to note the distinction between saved presets and Quick Filter Chips:

  • Saved Presets: These are named bundles that can combine multiple filter dimensions at once (e.g., tags, cook time).

  • Quick Filter Chips: These are simple, single-dimension chips (e.g., Under 400 Cal) found in the Quick Filter Chips tab.
