Why: Offer your members flexible payment options for fixed-length programs, making it easier for them to commit to your content while ensuring you receive consistent revenue.

Navigate: App Station > Monetization > Offers

Quick Start

  1. Click the Create Offer button.

  2. Select Subscription or One-Time Duration as the offer type.

  3. Set the Subscription Length to either ongoing or a specific number of payments.

  4. Configure the pricing and access levels for your offer.

  5. Save your offer and share the checkout link with your members.

Understanding Term-Limited Programs

Term-limited programs allow you to sell fixed-length access to your content through two payment options: a one-time payment or a monthly subscription for a set number of months. Here’s how it works:

Payment Options

  1. Pay in Full (One-Time Duration): This option allows members to pay a single fee for the entire duration of the program. For example, if your program lasts six months, the one-time payment grants access for that entire period.

  2. Pay Monthly: Members can choose to pay in installments over a specified number of months (N). For instance, if you set N to 6, members will be billed monthly for six months, after which their access will end automatically.

Subscription Length Control

When creating an offer, you can set the Subscription Length to one of two options:

  • Ongoing: The subscription continues indefinitely until canceled.

  • Ends after a set number of payments: This option allows you to specify how many payments (N) will be collected before the subscription ends.

Note: Once you create an offer with Stripe prices, the subscription length cannot be changed. If you need a different term, you will have to create a new offer.

Managing Cancellations

Members can cancel their subscriptions at any time. If they cancel before the end of their term, they will still retain access until the last payment period concludes.

Access Levels

Both payment options must grant the same membership access level. This means that whether a member pays in full or chooses the monthly payment plan, they will receive the same content access.

Offer Grouping

You can group the two offers (one-time and monthly) so that they appear as a single card with tabs on the upgrade page. This makes it easier for members to choose between the two options. If ungrouped, they will display as two separate cards.

Member Experience

  • Upgrade Cards: Term-limited offers show the payment count under the price (e.g., "6 payments"). This is also reflected in Stripe Checkout, where it indicates that the plan includes N payments and then billing stops.

  • Manage Subscription: Members on a live payment plan who tap "Manage Subscription" will first see how many payments are left and that billing will stop after the last payment. The primary button will be "Stay," while a text link will still open the Stripe portal for cancellation.

Renewal Emails

Members who are on a term-limited plan will receive renewal emails that open the billing tab, showing them their payment progress and that billing will stop after the final payment.

Analytics and Reporting

A finished program will show as Completed in the Members and Analytics sections, indicating that the term has ended naturally. This is different from a member who churns by canceling their subscription.
