Why: Streamline the onboarding process for your members by customizing the signup and checkout experience. This helps you convert more visitors into paying subscribers and enhances member satisfaction.

Navigate: App Station > Monetization > Offers > Settings and App Station > Settings > Signup

Quick Start

  1. Go to App Station > Monetization > Offers > Settings.

  2. Customize checkout behavior, including cancellation reasons and external upgrade URLs.

  3. Navigate to App Station > Settings > Signup to set up your signup preferences.

  4. Enable or disable terms and privacy consent as needed.

  5. Save your changes.

Member Signup Flow

The member signup process is designed to be simple and efficient. It typically involves three key steps:

  1. Email Collection: Guests provide their email address to start the signup process.

  2. Payment Processing: Members can complete their payment through a secure checkout page.

  3. Account Creation: Once payment is successful, an account is automatically created for the member.

Customizing the Signup Experience

You can customize various aspects of the signup process to better suit your brand and the needs of your members.

Offers Settings

In the Offers Settings section, you can adjust the following:

  • Checkout Behavior: Control how the checkout process operates, including whether to require payment methods for trials.

  • Cancellation Reasons: Choose which reasons members can select when canceling their subscriptions. This feedback can help you improve your offerings.

  • External Upgrade URL: If you have an external site for upgrades, you can specify that URL here.

  • Member Portal Plan Switching: Allow members to switch plans directly from their portal.

Signup Settings

In the Signup Settings section, you can manage:

  • Terms and Privacy Consent: Decide if members must accept your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before completing their signup. This is important for compliance and transparency.

  • Free Trials: Enable email-only signup for subscription trials, allowing members to start without entering payment information upfront.

Password Setup for New Members

After a successful checkout, new users are prompted to set their password on the success page. This allows them to log in easily in the future without needing to rely on email magic links.

Managing Checkout Links

You can create and manage checkout links for your offers:

  • Automatic Creation: When you create an offer, a checkout link is automatically generated.

  • Customization: You can edit, archive, or create additional checkout links as needed.

  • Analytics: Track the performance of your checkout links to see how many views and conversions they generate.

Handling Cancellations

When a member cancels their subscription, you can capture the reason for cancellation:

  • Admin Cancellations: Admins can select a reason when canceling a member's subscription.

  • Member Portal Cancellations: If a member cancels through the Stripe Customer Portal, they can choose from predefined reasons.

You can configure which cancellation reasons are available under App Station > Monetization > Offers > Settings.

Best Practices

  • Promote Your Offers: Share your checkout links on social media and through email campaigns to attract new members.

  • Monitor Performance: Regularly check the analytics for your checkout links to understand their effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

  • Feedback Loop: Use cancellation reasons to gather insights on why members leave and improve your offerings accordingly.
