Navigate: App Station > Content Library > [Content Item] > Access
Quick Start
Go to the Content Library in App Station.
Select the content item you want to grant access to.
Click on the Access tab.
Search for the member you want to grant access to.
Click Assign and set any expiration date if needed.
Understanding Content Grants
Content grants allow you to give specific members direct access to content, bypassing the usual access level restrictions. This feature is particularly useful in scenarios like coaching programs, where you may want to provide tailored content to individual clients.
Use Cases for Content Grants
Coaching Clients: Assign specific content to clients in a coaching program for a limited time.
VIP Content Access: Provide exclusive content to select members, such as VIP customers, with the option to set an expiration date.
Beta/Preview Access: Allow select users to access new content before it is released to the general public.
Visibility Modes
Content can be set to one of three visibility modes:
PUBLIC: Accessible to everyone, including guests.
MEMBERS: Only visible to members with the appropriate access levels.
ASSIGNED: Only visible to members who have been directly assigned access via content grants.
When you select "Assigned Only" for visibility, the content will be hidden from all public listings and only accessible to those with active content grants.
Grant Priority
Content grants take precedence over visibility modes. If a member has an active grant for a piece of content, they can access it regardless of the content's visibility setting or their access level.
How to Grant Access
To grant direct access to a member:
Navigate to the Content Library: Open the content item you wish to modify.
Access Tab: Click on the Access tab to view current assignments.
Search for Members: Use the search function to find the member you want to assign.
Assign Access: Click the Assign button next to the member's name. You can also add optional notes and set an expiration date for the grant.
Save Changes: Ensure you save your changes to finalize the grant.
Revoking Access
If you need to remove access from a member:
Go to the Access tab of the content item.
Find the member you want to revoke access from.
Click the Remove button next to their name.
Important Notes
Admins always have access to all content, regardless of access level settings.
Content must be published to be visible to members.
Direct content grants override all other access restrictions.
