What are Content Grants?
Content grants allow you to give specific members direct access to content, bypassing the standard access level system. This is particularly useful for personalized coaching, special promotions, or beta testing new materials.
When to Use Content Grants
You might want to use content grants in the following scenarios:
Coaching Clients: Assign specific content to clients in a coaching program, ensuring they only see what’s relevant to them.
VIP Content Access: Provide exclusive content to select members, such as VIP customers, with the option to set expiration dates.
Beta/Preview Access: Allow select members to access new content before it’s publicly available.
Setting Up Content Grants
Access the Content Item: Navigate to the Content Library and select the content item you wish to manage.
Go to the Access Tab: Click on the Access tab to manage who can view the content.
Assign Members: Use the search feature to find the member you want to grant access to. You can add notes to specify the reason for the grant.
Set Expiration (Optional): If you want the access to be temporary, set an expiration date for the grant.
Save Changes: Click Grant Access to finalize the assignment.
Content Visibility Modes
When setting up your content, you can choose from three visibility modes:
Public: Anyone can view the content.
Members: Only members with the appropriate access levels can view it.
Assigned: Only users who have been directly assigned access can view the content. This mode is ideal for personalized coaching scenarios.
When you select "Assigned Only," the content will not appear in public listings and will be hidden from all members except those with direct grants.
Grant Priority
Manual grants take precedence over visibility modes. If a member has an active grant for a piece of content, they can access it regardless of the content's visibility settings or their access levels.
Managing Content Grants
To revoke access from a member, simply return to the Access tab of the content item, find the member, and click the remove option next to their name.
Tip: Regularly review and clean up expired grants to keep your content access organized.
