Why: Content grants allow you to give specific members direct access to content, bypassing standard access levels. This is perfect for coaching clients or VIP members who need exclusive content tailored to them.
Navigate: App Station > Content Library > [Content Item] > Access
Quick Start
Go to the Content Library in your App Station.
Select the content item you want to grant access to.
Click on the Access tab.
Search for the member you want to grant access to.
Click Grant Access and set any expiration date if needed.
Understanding Content Grants
Content grants enable you to assign direct access to specific members for your content, regardless of their access levels. This feature is particularly useful in scenarios such as coaching programs or for VIP customers who require tailored content.
When to Use Content Grants
Coaching Clients: Assign specific content to clients in a coaching program, ensuring they have exclusive access for a defined period.
VIP Content Access: Provide special promotions or exclusive content to select members.
Beta Testing: Grant access to new content for testing before it is released to the general public.
Visibility Modes
When setting up content grants, it's important to understand the visibility modes:
Public: Anyone can view the content.
Members: Only members with the appropriate access levels can view it.
Assigned: Only members with direct content grants can view the content. This mode is ideal for coaching scenarios where content is meant for specific individuals.
Setting Visibility
To set the visibility of your content:
In the content editor, navigate to the Publishing tab.
Under Content Visibility, select Assigned Only to restrict access to only those with grants.
When you choose "Assigned Only":
The content will not appear in public listings.
Only users with active content grants can view it.
Granting Access to Members
To grant access to a member:
Navigate to the Content Library and select the desired content item.
Click on the Access tab.
Use the search function to find the member you wish to grant access to.
Click Grant Access. You can also add notes or set an expiration date if needed.
Revoking Access
If you need to revoke access from a member:
Go to the same Access tab for the content item.
Locate the member in the assigned users list.
Click the remove button next to their name.
Important Notes
Admins always have access to all content, regardless of access level settings.
Content grants take priority over visibility modes. If a member has an active grant, they can access the content even if it is set to "Assigned Only."
You can set expiration dates for content grants, allowing you to manage access over time effectively.
