Why: Personalize your app's user experience by customizing display labels, making it easier for your members to navigate and understand your content.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Branding & Design > Labels
Quick Start
Click on Settings in the left sidebar.
Select Branding & Design.
Click on Labels.
Customize the Time Labels, Bite Labels, and My Stuff Label as needed.
Save your changes.
Understanding Display Labels
Customizing display labels allows you to tailor the language and terminology used in your app. This can enhance clarity and improve the overall member experience. Here’s a breakdown of the different types of labels you can customize:
Time Labels
Time labels refer to the various stages of recipe preparation and cooking. You can customize the following labels:
Prep Time: The time required to prepare ingredients before cooking.
Cook Time: The duration needed for cooking the dish.
Rest Time: The time a dish should rest after cooking before serving.
Active Time: The time spent actively working on the recipe.
Total Time: The overall time from start to finish, including prep, cook, and rest times.
These labels are displayed in recipe time chips and summaries. Customizing them can help align the terminology with your brand or audience preferences.
Tip: If you leave a time label blank, it will revert to the default label, which is localized according to the member's language settings.
Bite Labels
Bite labels are used to describe the bite-sized content type in your app. You can customize:
Bite Label: The singular form used in various member-facing contexts.
Bites Label: The plural form.
These labels appear in the member UI, including features like the Floating Action Button (FAB), badges, tabs, and editors. Customizing these labels helps ensure consistency in your app's language.
My Stuff Label
The My Stuff label allows you to rename the member hub page heading and other related elements. Customization affects:
The heading of the My Stuff page.
Breadcrumbs leading to the My Stuff section.
The avatar menu item.
The error-page link directing members back to My Stuff.
The default title of the My Stuff Hub block.
This label can be tailored to better reflect your brand or the specific content focus of your app.
Note: If you leave the My Stuff label blank, it will revert to the default label, which is "My Stuff." This default respects the member's language settings, so Spanish-speaking members will see "Mis Cosas" if no override is set.
