Why: Personalizing display labels enhances your app's user experience, making it feel more tailored to your brand and your members. This helps create a cohesive and engaging environment for your subscribers.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Branding & Design > Labels
Quick Start
Click on Settings in the left navigation menu.
Select Branding & Design.
Click on Labels.
Customize the Time Labels, Bite Labels, and My Stuff Label as needed.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Understanding Display Labels
In this section, you'll learn how to customize three key types of display labels in your app: Time Labels, Bite Labels, and the My Stuff Label. Each of these labels plays a specific role in how content is presented to your members.
Time Labels
Time Labels refer to the various stages of recipe preparation. You can customize the following labels:
Prep Time: The time required to prepare ingredients before cooking.
Cook Time: The duration needed to cook the dish.
Rest Time: The time the dish should rest after cooking.
Active Time: The time spent actively working on the recipe.
Total Time: The overall time from start to finish.
Customizing these labels allows you to provide clarity to your members about the time commitment involved in each recipe. If you leave any of these fields blank, the default labels will be used, which are localized based on the member's language settings.
Bite Labels
Bite Labels are used to refer to the Bite content type in your app. You can set both singular and plural forms:
Bite: The singular form used in various contexts.
Bites: The plural form used when referring to multiple items.
These labels appear in the member UI wherever the term "Bite" is used, such as in buttons, tabs, and badges. As with Time Labels, leaving these fields blank will revert to the default terms.
My Stuff Label
The My Stuff Label allows you to rename the member hub page heading and other related elements. This label affects:
The heading of the My Stuff page.
Breadcrumbs leading to the My Stuff page.
The avatar menu item.
The error-page link that directs members back to the My Stuff hub.
The default title of the My Stuff Hub block.
Customizing this label helps you create a more personalized experience for your members. If you leave this field blank, it will default to "My Stuff," which respects the member's language settings (e.g., Spanish members will see "Mi Stuff" if no override is set).
Tip: Remember that Time Labels and Bite Labels were previously found under Content Settings > Recipes. If you're familiar with that layout, this change may help streamline your customization process.
