Why: Enhance engagement with your content by allowing members to leave feedback. This feature enables you to interact with your audience, fostering a community atmosphere around your content.
Navigate: App Station > Settings > Engagement & Community > Comments
Quick Start
Go to the Settings tab in App Station.
Click on Engagement & Community.
Select the Comments tab.
Toggle the Enable Comments option for your desired content types.
Choose your moderation mode (Pre-Approval or Reactive).
Overview
The comments system allows your members to leave feedback on various content types, such as recipes, meal plans, and blog posts. As an admin, you can reply to these comments, creating a supportive interaction with your audience.
Key Features
User Comments: Members can leave comments on enabled content types.
Admin Replies: You can respond to comments, providing support or acknowledgment.
Moderation Modes: Choose between pre-approval (comments require your approval before being visible) or reactive (comments are visible immediately).
Forum Integration: For extended discussions, members can transition to a community forum.
Configuration
To set up the comments system, navigate to the Comments tab under Engagement & Community in App Station. Here, you can configure the following:
Enabled Content Types: Choose which types of content will allow comments (e.g., recipes, meal plans, blog posts).
Moderation Mode: Select either Pre-Approval (comments require your approval) or Reactive (comments are published immediately).
Max Comment Length: Set the maximum character limit for comments (default is 2000 characters).
Supported Content Types
You can enable comments for the following content types:
Recipe
Meal Plan
Resource
Blog Post
Moderation Workflow
Pre-Approval Mode
A member submits a comment → Status: PENDING_APPROVAL.
You review the comment in the moderation queue.
If approved, the comment status changes to PUBLISHED, making it visible to all users.
Reactive Mode
A member submits a comment → Status: PUBLISHED (immediate visibility).
You can hide the comment later if it is inappropriate.
Managing Comments
To view and manage comments, go to the Inbox in App Station:
Click on Content Comments to see all comments across your content.
Here, you can approve, hide, or reply to comments directly.
Daily Digest
You can opt to receive a daily email digest summarizing new comments and ratings pending moderation. This can be enabled in your personal notification settings under your profile.
