Why: Enhance your member engagement by collecting valuable feedback right after checkout. This helps you understand your audience better and tailor your content to their needs.

Navigate: App Station > Monetization > Post-Checkout Questions

Quick Start

  1. Go to App Station and select Monetization.

  2. Click on Post-Checkout Questions.

  3. Click Add Question to create a new question.

  4. Choose the question type (single select, multi select, or free text).

  5. Mark the question as required or optional, and click Save.

Understanding Post-Checkout Questions

After members complete their purchase through Stripe, you can ask them questions to gather insights. New apps start with no questions, so the success page will only display this step after you add and enable at least one question.

Question Types

You can choose from three types of questions:

  • Single Select: Members choose one option from a list (displayed as a radio group).

  • Multi Select: Members can select multiple options (displayed as a checkbox group).

  • Free Text: Members provide a written response.

Each question can be marked as required (default is optional), enabled or hidden, and can be reordered as needed.

Adding Questions

You can insert common questions or create custom ones. Here are some common templates you can use:

  1. How did you hear about us? (Single Select)

  2. Which channels do you follow us on? (Multi Select)

  3. What is your main goal right now? (Single Select)

  4. Which topics are you most interested in? (Multi Select)

  5. What are you hoping to achieve as a member? (Free Text)

  6. Who can we thank for referring you? (optional) (Free Text)

You can edit inserted questions later. Each question keeps a record of its source template, or it can be marked as custom.

Managing Questions

To manage your questions:

  • Mark a Question Required: Toggle the required option when creating or editing a question.

  • Hide a Question: You can choose to hide questions that you don't want to display.

  • Reorder Questions: Drag and drop questions to reorder them as needed.

Viewing Responses

Member responses to these questions are stored and can be viewed in several places:

  • Member Overview Tab: Each member's answers will appear in their profile.

  • CSV Export: You can download a CSV file of your members, which includes a column for checkout answers.

  • Analytics: Responses are also available in the Marketing analytics section, providing a breakdown of answers.

Reporting Insights

The answers collected from your post-checkout questions can provide valuable insights:

  • Member Overview: A card will display checkout answers if the member has provided any.

  • Members CSV: The CSV export will include a column labeled "Checkout Answers," with responses formatted as Question: answer; .... For multi-select questions, answers will be comma-separated.

  • Marketing Analytics: You can view a breakdown of responses grouped by question, with visual representation for option types. Free-text responses are not included in this breakdown.

By utilizing post-checkout questions effectively, you can enhance your understanding of your members and improve their experience with your app.
