Why: Gain valuable insights into how your members interact with your video content. Understanding video performance helps you optimize your offerings and engage your audience more effectively.

Navigate: App Station > Analytics > Video Engagement

The Video Engagement dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of how members watch videos within your app. This includes key metrics that help you understand video performance and member engagement.

Quick Start

  1. Go to the Analytics section in App Station.

  2. Click on Video Engagement.

  3. Use the period selector to choose the time frame for your data.

  4. Review the metrics displayed, including views and watch time.

  5. Identify your top-performing videos based on the selected period.

Metrics Overview

The Video Engagement dashboard includes several important metrics:

Views

  • This metric shows the number of times your videos have been started or completed, providing insight into overall interest.

Watch Time

  • This aggregates the total time members have spent watching your videos, helping you gauge content effectiveness.

Top Videos

  • This section highlights the titles or assets that performed best during the selected period, allowing you to identify what resonates with your audience.

Quality Summaries

  • Here, you can find high-level indicators of playback quality, such as rebuffering rates and exit points. These metrics can help you understand the viewing experience.

Period Selector

  • Use the period selector at the top of the dashboard to align your video metrics with other analytics data. This allows for a more comprehensive analysis of member engagement.

Understanding Video Engagement

The Video Engagement dashboard is designed for analysis only. It does not allow you to change how videos are stored or displayed. Video upload settings, poster frames, and embedding behaviors are configured separately in the content editor.

Plan Access

  • Video engagement analytics are typically included in Standard analytics or your plan's equivalent. If you see locked states, it means the feature is not enabled for your app.
